When is the last time you got lush-ed?

Heya to all naturalistas! Are you ready for some lush and fun wash day this weekend?

Or maybe you damn worried and dont know where to start because you have no right  products for your hair.

I know the struggle gets real especially if you rock  kinks or curly locks out  of a predomininantly black country. It is a journey that can be very tiring and a times frustrating. Sometimes you may be forced  to sample different products before finding one that really works for you and this takes weeks or even months. I know and I feel you.

But, if you are a naturalista based in Rome, don’t you worry, I got you. I will be your experimental buddy on matters hair:-)

So, move closer, I have to tell you this. Last week, I walked into this shop in Via del Corso called Lush . Oh my, I have never felt so much in heaven!

I have deep love for oils & scents and if anyone is to ever make me happy, apart from gifting me some good oil or fragrance, just tag me along to a profumeria and I will be in total bliss!

Lush’s artistic arrangement of it’s freshly handmade cosmetics left me in total admiration. These products to me were an act of self expression.

Arranged so well that at some point my mouth started watering. I was so ready to  experience the art, but not just that, I was also very much attempted to taste soap! I know:-) so strange!..eheheh.

I took almost an hour asking about each and every product. From bath bombs, luxury bath melts, gorrilla perfumes, face creams, to my favourite section- the hair section, which had: hair treatments, shampoo, conditioners and henna. All these frangrances gave me so much thrill that I couldn’t wait to feel the effects of the treatments on my strands.

My hair has been dry lately, I guess that it maybe as a result of the dropping temperatures. I opted for a pre poo cream (as a try), shampoo and conditioner.

The following  Sunday , I went through my wash routine and I was amazed by the results! My  thirsty hair literally got Lush-ed! It felt so soft, so drunk with moisture and well fed! It was just perfect!

But wait up, before you go for it,

cosmetics_03

I  have two reservations though. After wash, Rococo shampoo left so much raw coconut residue on my hair 🙁 I had to do a  ‘shake off ‘  to get  rid of the particles and that took me some minutes. Maybe this is different depending on hair types but if you have kinky hair or  curly locks, I am certain that you may experience the same poblem.

The second reservation is with the American Dream conditioner. I spotted sulfate in the ingredients.

You all are aware that we don’t like sulfates in our products right? If not, keep reading PeachesonBlue. I will for sure write about  some of the pros and cons  of these ingredients in the coming weeks.

Apart from that, I really enjoyed my Lush.

What about you? Have you ever used Lush before? Did you like it?

Let me know on the comment session below. 🙂

With love,

cvr

Congratulations Vidah. I haven’t used lush before 😏. Can I lush my long hair and how often is it done? Like monthly or weekly?

Heya beautiful lady, thanks for passing by PeachesonBlue.

I am certain that you can lush your long hair. My wash day is always Sunday. This has been my routine for the past one year.I find it that my hair can only retain moisture for a maximum of seven days. This of course changes with temperature and seasons. My best advise will be for you to do a hair type and porosity test and then experiment on what works best. If you have same texture as mine, you can try once a week. Hope I have been helpful 🙂

Niiicee 🙂 I love lush, especially the King Of Skin body butter. It’s a solid body melt that really gets in there and hydrates your skin. Perfect for winter. You should try it. And of course the bath bombs because who does it better than lush.
